Weinberg & Jacobs, LLP

Business & Corporate Practice Group

The Business and Corporate Practice Group is headed by Ronald D. Jacobs. Our firm represents closely held corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies and virtually every form of business entity. We provide our clients with prompt, responsive advice and solutions to meet their business requirements.

Rendering advice on selection of the appropriate business form, planning its overall tax structure, preparing the documents that bring the entity to life and give it substance, as well as merging, buying, selling or liquidating business enterprises are all aspects of the services performed by Weinberg & Jacobs. We regularly assist our clients through all cycles of their business lives, and help them take advantage of the complex and ever-changing business environment.

Our attorneys are general counsel to many corporations and other businesses, providing them with advice and counsel on a wide range of business, tax and legal issues. We also represent clients in negotiating and interpreting contracts, including leases, business loans and real estate development agreements, employment agreements, and stockholder agreements. Our firm provides skilled representation for our clients in commercial litigation, as well as in both Federal and state tax matters. In addition, we have nationwide experience in collection agency licensing, state regulatory compliance, and FDCPA compliance by collection agencies, as well as the purchase and sale of collection agencies.

Business succession and proper compensation of executives are two issues on which our closely held business clients frequently seek our advice. Our ability to integrate the tax and practical business implications of various options on these and other matters, permits our clients to achieve their goals with confidence.
